After a lovely drive from Puebla to Mexico City, thanks to Anais and David, I met our Compadres again. Saturday we visited an enormous market full of treasures, went to see Cesar jr at the Ranch del Charro, had lunch at a restaurant not far from his condo, and that night we went to Church for Easter. The next day we had an egg hunt for Nono, and then a delicious meal for the family, including Pilar's parents and sisters. I visited the University's botanical gardens, the
Museo Nacional de Historia Castillo de Chapultepec, went to see what was taking place in Xochimilco; visitied the Palacio Nacional and the greater than life murales de Diego Rivera; and of course, went to a number of excellent restaurants. Anais and Rocio came back on April 22nd from their trip to the Caribbean and we got a chance to say hello and goodbye, as Anais went home to Cholula and Rocio was getting ready for a three month trip to Paris! And me? April 25th and it is back home to Canada!

these are poictures at the Museo Nacial de Historia - Castillo de Chapultapec:
The historical objects, paintings, musings here are amazing. They give you a sense of the history and growth of Mexico.
And then there was this absolutely breathtaking room depicting the Mexican Revolution:

Lunch at Brasserie Estoril |
Palacio Nacional y murales de Diego Rivera:
The last time I was here with Gary we did not have the opportunity to see the murales de Diego Rivera, so I had asked Rosalia and Cesar if I could do so. I am so happy I had this chance. The murales are absolutely amazing, so full of life and colours. They really give you a great idea of the evolution of the Mexican Society.
And for lunch, another most excellent restaurant:
El Cardenal.
And then, just like that on April 25th, it was time to go back home after an amazing experience. So long Mexico, I love you and will miss you 😍💖
