Marie and I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year from sunny Cozumel! We arrived on Saturday, January 1st, after a wonderful New Years party in Cancun with all our new friends and family. We said goodbye after promising to visit soon and headed out by taxi to Playa del Carmen to catch the ferry across to the island. Cozumel is a small place and it was nice to be on our own for a few days at Carolyn's fantastic casa! Thanks sis! We rented a car yesterday and toured the island, visiting the beach at Punta Sur where we snorkled and saw the crocs, then drove over to the wild side - we had the place to ourselves most of the day and it was heaven! Stopped for cold coconut milk and even visited some Mayan ruins. Today we are going to explore the town and chill for one more day before heading back to Canada tomorrow.I'll be posting some more pix when we get home. Can't wait to come back!
